DSF Board Endorses Measure A

The Davis Schools Foundation voted unanimously on Feb. 16 to endorse Measure A, a parcel tax measure before local voters in a special vote-by-mail election on May 3.

The Davis Board of Education placed Measure A on the ballot. The Davis schools foundation has no role in the campaign for its passage and will not contribute any money to it. However, individual members of the foundation board may choose to support the campaign in any way they wish.

The proposed tax would cost $200 per year for owners of single-family homes, with apartment dwellers charged $20 per year.  Homeowners over age 65 would be able to apply for an exemption.

Who We Are

The Davis Schools Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated toward raising funds for the Davis Joint Unified School District. The foundation is run by an all-volunteer Board of Directors who support public education. We make an annual grant to the school district.

We believe that every child deserves an excellent public education.
